Hame-ish on Instagram: "A bumper post as our Hame-ish Cabaret in April rapidly approaches this Wednesday! Unfortunately, Finola Scott is no longer able to take part in our Hame-ish Live section. However, we're delighted to welcome back one of our performers from our original Christmas At Hame-ish show in 2023- Marcas Mac an Tuairneir! Marcas Mac an Tuairneir was the 2024 Makar of the Federation of Writers (Scotland) and is Gaelic Editor of Northwords Now. His latest collection Polaris was shortlisted for the Scottish Poetry Book of the Year Award and a Saboteur Award, and went on to receive a National Gaelic Award for Arts and Culture. We are also delighted to welcome back Q Manivannan, who took part in Hame-ish Live during October's Cabaret! Q Manivannan is the 2023 winner of the Kavya Prize and organises Fill This Space, a monthly open mic and Palestine fundraiser in Edinburgh. They’re pursuing a PhD on caring narratives of Third World protests, and also consult on LGBTQ policy making in Scotland.
