GLOSM/Syria started monitoring Syria on February 10, 2011 when it found a video showing a protest in Damascus against the arrest of a man who couldn't pay a policeman. Syria would then be the last country where the Arab Spring had to emerged. However, it is known as the Syria Uprising.
