綠豆 Green Bean Media on Instagram: "#破土 | 人離鄉貴？ | 梁啟智 | 移民的自我研究 📖 全文: IG Story 連結 ▌節錄 不過對於較年輕的移居者，無論是為了自我認同還是有實際的經濟需要，移民後總會希望重拾向上流動的機會。這點對這一波的移民來說又確有不少可能性。 首先，不少港人本來就活在跨國資本網絡當中，如果選擇移民倫敦，則只是由一個金融中心移到另一個金融中心，原有的謀生技能很大程度上還是可以轉移過去。認識不少本來從事金融業的朋友，移民倫敦之後很快便找到工作，甚至是先找到工作才出發，或是在原先服務的跨國企業作內部調配，無縫接軌到新的生活當中。 推而廣之，不少人移民後甚至不用離開本來的工作。疫情期間成就了在家工作的潮流，很多工作不需要每天到辦公室上班，於是也有不少人帶著原來的工作移民去。例如電腦編程工程師大可以在台灣的家中上班，每個月飛回香港一次和主管見面開會，賺香港的工資同時又可以在台灣生活。還有中文老師轉在網上為香港或移居海外的香港小孩遙距補習，基本上有網絡連線的地方就可以上班，不用管實際身在何處。 即使無法完全做回原來的工作，因為全球化下各地緊密相連，移居後成為移居地和原居地之間的接口，亦成為常見的職業選擇。例如本來在香港當律師的，來到台灣因為法制不同當然無法代表客戶在台灣出庭訴訟；但對於那些和香港有商貿往來的台灣企業，卻可以擔當法律顧問的角色，協助他們處理與香港相關的業務。對於他們來說，移民同時也是一個專業上的重構或最少重新包裝的過程，讓自己的能力和當地的需要對得上。 ▌［移民的自我研究］作者簡介 梁啟智，時事評論員，美國明尼蘇達大學地理學博士，現職台灣中央研究院社會所。 ============= 🌱 《綠豆》繼續記錄及發聲，需要大家行動支持： 到 greenbean.media 付費支持我們的營運 #移民 #開創事業 #向上流動 #機會 #緣份 #際遇 #梁啟智 #移民的自我研究 #綠豆 #GreenBeanMedia"
